Our board of creatives is always evolving. We structure our board on an annual basis. In edition to the young adults that make up our board we have dedicated committee members and over 300 volunteers in our database. We look forward to growing with the community!

Alex Smith - Vice President of Business
Alex Smith graduated from Indiana University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in public financial management, and was recognized as one of Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s 40 Under 40 in 2014. Alex previously worked as an investment adviser before launching his own business, Panzit International. Alex and his wife enjoy spending time with their family, which includes 18 nieces and nephews. Alex is passionate about giving young adults a place to enjoy downtown and supports the local music scene.
Shane Araujo - Vice President of Operations
After graduating from Bishop Dwenger High School, Shane Araujo went to work for his grandfather in the industrial supply industry. He then co-founded Panzit International with Alex Smith, vice president of business at A Better Fort. In 2013, Shane was recognized as one of Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s 40 Under 40. Shane’s love for his hometown has fueled a desire to give people a reason to feel the same way. When Shane isn't busy growing Panzit or planning dope block parties, he enjoys spending time with his soon-to-be-wife and daughter.
Christine Fisher - Vice President of Volunteer Coordination
Christine Fisher became involved with A Better Fort shortly after graduating from Indiana University in 2009, now serving as A Better Fort’s resident “volunteer wrangler.” In addition, Christine serves on the Shindigz National Soccer Festival board of directors. She likes gardening and spending time at the lake with friends and family.
Sam DiFilippo - Vice President of Logistics
Sam DiFilippo, a 2008 Marian University graduate, serves as development officer for Rugby Indiana. He brings five years of teaching experience and expertise in event planning to the organization. Sam works hard behind the scenes and on the front line, ensuring that all operations at A Better Fort and its events are safe and secure, from start to finish. When he is not traveling or coaching, Sam enjoys downtown nightlife.
Tiffany Ann - Vice President of Marketing & Outreach
Tiffany Ann’s experience in development and enthusiasm for downtown are valuable assets to A Better Fort and its vision. After studying non-profit management at Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu, she returned to Fort Wayne to focus her passion for community involvement on A Better Fort. Tiffany was recognized as one of Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s 40 under 40 in 2014. Outside of the board room, Tiffany enjoys adventuring downtown and on the river with her daughter Olive.
Kelly Lynch - Vice President of Digital Media
Kelly returned to the region after attending film school in Chicago and fulfilling an internship in Los Angles. Kelly has been the recipient of many awards, including Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s 40 under 40 (2013). While he never puts down his camera, Kelly sometimes uses a GoPro while shoveling coal for the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society.
